No Airport Biometric Surveillance
A dangerous new bill could bring facial recognition, fingerprinting, retina scans, and other forms of invasive biometric data extraction to U.S. domestic airports. Join EFF in opposing expansive biometric surveillance in our airports.
Senator John Thune (R-SD) recently introduced the TSA Modernization Act, a bill that would give the TSA and Customs and Border Protection new authority to use biometric technology to identify passengers traveling in U.S. airports.
DHS privacy invasions of international air travelers are already out of control. This bill would make matters worse, adding biometric screenings for even domestic flights. It may even subject travelers to multiple biometric screenings in a single trip.
We can stop this bill if we speak out now. Tell your senator to reject the TSA Modernization Act and uphold individual privacy.
